Corpus Christi, TX (January 12, 2001) -- Interconnect Services (interconnect.net) announced today that it
has added another fail-over backbone circuit to the Corpus Christi Network Operation Center (NOC).
The UUNET backbone circuit is just another realibility enhancement for Interconnect's South Texas customer base," according to Brian Adams. Adams, Interconnect's Vice President & CIO stated, "as our customer base and related network continues to expand, it is necessary for our company to continually upgrade the quality of services." Fail-over circuits are essential to any top-notch ISP's Quality Assurance Plan. Should there ever be technical issues with an ISP's primary Internet backbone (and there will be from time-to-time), fail-over circuits take over the job and temporarily pass inbound/outbound Internet traffic throughout the network. Therefore, fail-over circuits increase overall "up-time" to the users.
