According to Brian Adams, Interconnect's Vice President and CTO, "Interconnect's new and improved Email servers will provide the capability of virus detection of both incoming and outgoing email at Interconnect's Email servers."
According to Adams, "These enhancements are yet another level of virus protection/detection for our client base. However, virus detection and protection within a corporate network or at the local PC is certainly recommended as an overall virus detection policy or regimen."
In addition to virus detection capabilities, Interconnect's enhanced Email servers will likewise allow the corporate end-user (Virtual Email Servers users) to have more control over the administrative process of managing POP3 Email accounts. According to Adams, "Virtual Email Server accounts will now have the luxury of adding/editing/deleting Email accounts as well as password management and away-messages (Email forwards) without having to contact the Interconnect TAC (technical assistance center).
